From Problem to Solution – From Inefficiency to Efficiency
Case 1 (2017 - 2024)
Problem statement
Since the start of his business operations in 2013, the entrepreneur of a company located in Hamburg has struggled with declining employee performance. Conducting a thorough root cause analysis was not feasible for him in his role as managing director due to the associated complexities and risks.
Solution approach
At the beginning of our collaboration, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of employee performance, compared the results with the expected targets, and presented these findings to the entrepreneur. Based on the results, I recommended a restructuring and optimization strategy, which was implemented just weeks after presenting my suggestions.
Result
During my almost seven years of collaboration with the company, I successfully optimized several key performance indicators, enabling the achievement of goals that had previously been considered difficult to reach, all within just two years of starting my support.
Case 2 (2018)
Problem
A workspace needs to be illuminated with a small lamp that can be adjusted in both color temperature and light intensity, allowing the light to be adapted to the conditions and the material to be examined.
Solution
Development of a lamp housing with maximum dimensions according to customer specifications, equipped with tunable white LED lights, potentiometers, and displays for repetitive adjustment of color temperature and power.

Case 3 (2023)
Problem
Fans for cooling high-performance lamps get clogged with large debris flying around in a waste incineration plant.
Solution
Development of a fan grid as a 3D model to be integrated with the fan set. After successful testing in the CAD system, a prototype is printed using my own 3D printer.

Case 4 (2024 - today)
Problem defintion
Within just three years, there were four changes of project managers in a maritime project at a branch of a Finnish company in Hamburg. As a result, numerous project goals were not achieved within the planned time frame. Due to this instability, a thorough restructuring and analysis of the efficiency of external employees was necessary.
Solution approach
Upon starting my support, I conducted a detailed analysis of the project and systematically assessed the efficiency of the external employees. The results were compared with the expected targets and presented to the project and department managers, as well as the controller. Based on this analysis, I recommended a comprehensive restructuring and optimization of the project processes.
Result
Based on my recommendations, the role of the external employees in the project was re-evaluated and adjusted accordingly. In the following months, financial burdens were significantly reduced, while the efficiency and quality of the project results were substantially improved.
